PTA Meeting Time Change

Good Afternoon!  Please note that the PTA meeting next Thursday has been changed to 5:00pm.  Happy Terrific Thursday!

Happy Tuesday!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and fantastic start to the week.  For my Reading ELA class, students will need a 3-prong pocket folder, composition book, and a spiral notebook (this was already on the 5th grade supply list).  Please ensure your child has the supplies they need for class by Monday, August 17th.  Your support and assistance is greatly appreciated.

Summer Reading Challenge projects are due by August 21st and the celebration for those students who completed a project is Friday, August 28th.  Please have your child submit their project to their homeroom teacher.

Students may begin taking AR tests between 8:00am and 8:30am.  We will be going to the library once a week as a whole class during Reading ELA to check out books.

Our class is in need of pencils, notebook paper, and gallon ziplock bags.  Please and thank you.  Your donations and generosity is so appreciated.

Happy Back to School!

What a fabulous start to the year!!!  The kiddos and I had a wonderful time catching up and sharing our summer with each other the first two days of school.  We reviewed classroom, lunchroom, hallway, and bus procedures as well as the school wide discipline plan and rules.  It was so nice seeing everyone's smiling faces and feeling the excitement from both parents and students for the new school year.

Our first day of switching classes was a success.  Wonderful team work!

We started using our agendas and students were to "practice" getting them signed. Agendas are to be signed on a daily basis and are an important tool for communication. I will be checking agendas daily.

Bus hall began Thursday (8/6) and students have been reminded to keep a book in their backpacks.  During bus hall, they are to read silently.

I will be creating a group parent email list which will help with communicating information easily.

Thank you for all the supplies and goodies for our classroom.  It's greatly appreciated!

Happy Back to School!
