This will be my 28th year teaching and it seems like I just started. My first 16 years were at Factory Shoals Elementary, then I came to Chapel Hill Elementary when the new school was built 12 years ago. Over the years I have taught 1st and 2nd grade, looping up with my class occasionally. I even looped from 2nd to 3rd with my babies. That was a great experience!! It is so rewarding to watch children learn and grow. I am so excited for the 2018-2019 school year. It's going to be a great year!

Hello! My name is Donna Patterson.

I went to elementary, high school, and college  in Jacksonville, Alabama. I graduated from Jacksonville State University in 1989 and Piedmont College in 2001. My husband and I have two wonderful children who went through the Douglas County School System. I have one precious grandson, Lucas, who keeps me young and on my toes. Needless to say, I enjoy my time with him!

I love my family, friends, the beach, Atlanta Braves, Alabama Crimson Tide and the Jacksonville State Gamecocks!!! GO BRAVES!!!! ROLL TIDE!! GO GAMECOCKS!!!
