I have taught fifth grade for eighteen years and one year of third grade  I have taught at Annette Winn Elementary and North Douglas Elementary.  I have taught all subjects in fifth grade and third grade. Currently, I specialize in Math. I am a highly qualified teacher.   I had 90% of my math students pass the 2017 Georgia Milestones and I had the most overall gains on the 2017 Georgia Milestones.

I have taught fifth grade in Douglas County for eighteen years and third grade for one year. I graduated from North Georgia College with a BS in Early Childhood Education and a Master's Degree in Early Childhood education from Piedmont College.  I started teaching at Annette Winn Elementary until 2004, and then I moved to North Douglas when it opened.  I have been at CHES for the last 8 years and I love it here!   I also have an add-on certificate for ESOL.

My favorite children's book is Number the Stars by Lois Lowry.  It is a story set in Denmark during World War II and tells of a family who helps the Jews escape to freedom.  My favorite subject to teach is Math.  My favorite food is Mexican and Italian.  My favorite tv show is Survivor.

I am married and I have two stepchildren.

In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with family and friends, gardening, reading, and completing Pinterest projects.

This is my eighth year teaching at Chapel Hill Elementary.
